Lena-Sophie Drews is a researcher in the field of International Cybersecurity at the IFSH since January 2025. Previously, she worked at the Digital Society Institute at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin, focusing on cyber policy and cyber diplomacy. Lena-Sophie Drews also gained experience at the German Bundestag, supporting the Committee on Digital Affairs. Additionally, she worked in the Digital Public Services sector at Fraunhofer FOKUS in Berlin. Lena-Sophie Drews holds a master's degree in political science with a focus on "World Politics".
Research profile
Lena-Sophie Drews is interested in critical areas of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cyber feminism as well as the challenges posed by disinformation. She also focuses on analyzing cyberattacks on critical infrastructures and their impact, with an emphasis on the role of cyber powers. Her research interest also includes international relations, especially the geopolitical dynamics between the USA and China.
