Vita

Mateusz Łabuz is a researcher at the research focus International Cybersecurity at the IFSH. Additionally, he lectures cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and disinformation at the University of the National Education Commission and the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow. Before joining the IFSH in November 2024, he was a career diplomat at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and graduated from the Diplomatic Academy in Poland. He obtained his PhD title at the Chemnitz University of Technology where he researched deep fakes and synthetic media. 

Research profile

Mateusz Łabuz researches deep fakes and AI generated content, so-called synthetic media, as well as their impact on social and political processes. His interest comprises the influence of artificial intelligence on cybersecurity and hybrid threats and cognitive warfare, as well as emerging trends in the disinformation sphere.
