"Rethinking Nuclear Deterrence" – Working Group on Arms Control and Emerging Technologies

Emerging technologies put established arms control approaches into question and alter deterrence relationships. In a working group, international scholars from various disciplines are researching the interactions between arms control, the emergence of new technologies, and nuclear deterrence. The established working group is part of a two-year cooperation of IFSH with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) within the framework of the research network "Rethinking Nuclear Deterrence". The network is led by the "Managing the Atom" project of the Belfer Center at Harvard University and is funded by the MacArthur Foundation (2022-2024).
